Arrival
I arrived on a Monday evening in January. The hotel has a short drive to approach for valet parking. This was probably the 4th time I’ve stayed at this property and the valets have always been out front and prompt. Once I handed the valet my keys, he asked if I wanted assistance with my bag; I declined.
I entered the lobby and headed to the front desk, approximately 100 feet from the door. To the left is the entrance to Fran’s Chocolates (highly recommended) and the stairs to the second-floor meeting rooms. Off to the right is Goldfinch Tavern and the always on fireplace.
Check in was very quick and the front desk agent gave me all of the information I needed to know about the property, as well as a cold bottle of water (ask for one any time you pass by the front desk; they’re happy to give them to you). Next to the desk is an area where they sometimes put out treats. One night, they had s’mores hanging by clothes pins for consumption. Just beyond the desk are the elevators with a coffee/tea stand.
Room
I was assigned a partial bay view room, room 619. True to the name, I could see Elliot Bay and I had a nice view of the pool and pool deck area. Immediately inside the room is a table to the left of the door to put your belongings (or the daily newspaper they deliver to your room). Off to the right is the spacious bathroom. The bathroom has a very large marble soaker tub, separate shower, toilet closet, and a large mirror with a TV in it (my favorite part of the bathroom). The marble counter space has plenty of room to store belongings and also has a scale and a hair towel. I really dislike the separate toilet stall as it is cumbersome to continually open and close the door (yes, I realize that sounds lazy).

The bathroom is stocked with plenty of plush towels and washcloths. There is a robe hanging in the bathroom and another in the closet. Toiletries are L’Occitane The Vert & Bigarade. Toiletries are replenished daily. In fact, there isn’t toothpaste in the room but after the first housekeeping service, they provided a small tube of toothpaste despite my toothpaste sitting out.

Adjacent to the bathroom is the large closet, with approximately 16 hangers. I always appreciate when I can actually hang all of my clothes. The closet lights turn on when the door is opened or ajar. There is also an ironing board and iron, safe, shoe shine bag (for placement on the door handle at night for a shoe shine), and an umbrella to use while staying.

Connected to the closet is a one piece, seamless bar with mini-fridge (mini-bar), multiple drawers for clothes, and the TV area. There are also ample outlets for AV and for power, a telephone, and a lamp. Adjacent to the drawers is an oval desk and 2 chairs. I received 3 complimentary apples that were a fantastic snack during my 3-night stay. Across from the TV is what can only be described as one of the best hotel beds I’ve ever slept on. It was just soft enough, with definite pillow top, laden with pillows, and a thick duvet that allowed for fantastic sleep. At the end of the bed was bench. Next to the bed were two nightstands, both with lamps. On one side was an alarm clock which was incredibly bright (and I never figured out how to dim). The alarm clock had both a lightning cord and micro-b cable.

Other Amenities
The gym was located on the fourth floor of the building with views out on the pool deck. Adjacent to the gym and just outside the pool was a restroom, ice machine, changing rooms, and a coffee station.
The gym at the Four Seasons Seattle is fantastic. Immediately to the left is a small studio area with mats and Spri balls, followed by a row of cardio machines: rower, elliptical, stationary bike, and several treadmills. Across from the cardio area are the Technogym machines for both upper and lower body exercises. The cardio and Technogym machines were in fantastic condition.
Also in the gym is an area with fruited water, cool towels, refrigerated water bottles, as well as newspapers. There is also a universal gym, a couple workout benches, and ample dumbbells. On the walls are a total of 3 televisions. One of my favorite aspects of the gym are the motivational posters with quotes from Seattle sports icons. The gym is certainly one of the best hotel gyms I have ever been in.
In the winter time, there are fewer deck chairs out on the pool deck (which is lined with them in Summer). The infinity pool overlooks Elliott Bay. There is a separate round hot tub with a nearby fire pit.
Room service is also available.

There is a spa at the hotel, though I did not use it. Rates for the spa treatments are listed in the room.
Lounge
There is no lounge at this property. As I was at the property for a corporate event, I did not eat at the restaurant (Goldfinch Tavern). However, the food provided by the hotel is varied, very good, and not overly carb or fat laden.
Location
The location of the Four Seasons Seattle is great for the tourist or business traveler. You can access Fran’s Chocolates from inside the lobby (highly recommended). Just outside the front door is a fantastic view of Elliott Bay and the Seattle Great Wheel. Across from the lobby is an entrance to Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market. The downtown location is great for walking around and seeing sights but would be considered too far for many to easy shopping (aside from the Market) or the Space Needle.

Overall
Four Seasons Seattle is my favorite hotel in Seattle. The service is excellent, location is great, the property is well kept, and the staff are fantastic. I would highly recommend Four Seasons Seattle.
