Let’s Try This Again

In 2019, I started blogging a few things as they seemed to garner interest from friends and colleagues. Outside of my family, travel is my great joy and I’m fortunate to be able to travel for work and for pleasure. The idea was that I’d share some information that others might find beneficial and it would lead to more conversations “in the hall” or virtual water cooler. That was true while it lasted.

In February 2020, I was in Chicago and didn’t realize that would be the last time I would travel in 18 months. With no travel, I didn’t really feel like writing anything and this sort of died. However, as I’ve taken some cool trips and had a lot of quesitons from colleagues about that, I thought now would be a good time to start this back up. So what will this be?

My goal would be to highlight some of my travel tips, travel experiences, and general travel news. I’d like to commit to a regular cadence but I have no idea if I’ll be able to keep that up. I’m certainly open to blog post suggestions. I have a few hotel reviews ready and, I think what makes these a little different from the popular blogs is that most of the hotels I stay in are in a suburb or middle America and aren’t terribly fancy.

I have a big trip coming up with my daughter and I look forward to writing some reviews. I’ll discuss how and why I made the travel decisions I made, and include my general costs, either in points/miles or cash. I hope to keep this up and welcome any feedback.
